XENTRY Connect C5 and XENTRY Diagnosis VCI, which one is better?
Here i’ll make an easy comparison of the two mercedes diagnostic tools.
First, XENTRY Diagnosis VCI
The new XENTRY Diagnosis VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) multiplexer serves as the interface to the vehicle when performing diagnosis and repairs, and programming electric and electronic on-board vehicle systems.
The XENTRY Diagnosis VCI does not have its own PC core, battery, fan, or display. It is operated using the XENTRY Diagnosis Pad via WLAN or a USB cable connection.
Advantages of the XENTRY Diagnosis VCI
Handy multiplexer with a small, sturdy construction (no PC core, battery, fan, or display)
Diagnosis updates no longer necessary – firmware updates required on rare occasions
Can be used for all model series
Does not need a power supply unit for external power supply
Second, XENTRY Connect C5 Multiplexer
Xentry Benz C5 is the latest mercedes diagnostic tool from China, with a qualitative improvement in hardware and software by authorization of diagnostic interface to control the software. It highlights new DoIP diagnosis and hybrid W222.

The licensing system is reworked – now licenses are stored on mercedes servers – Any license changes are tracked by the multiplexer when connected to the Internet network.

Undoubtedly, the original c5 with Panasonic tablet from the ACTIA Company is excellent … But … Its price is disheartening. The cost of the Japanese tablet is realistic to buy pieces of eight new laptops or tablets from other manufacturers.
