VAS5054a is a K-line, L-line, low and high speed CANBUS device + UDS. But I would think it depends on the drivers and firmware used.
VAS 5054A working with Mercedes Xentry/DAS:
I am test Xentry Passthru 12.2017 with VAS5054 on C203 2003. all work without problem. on k line too.
I have used my VAS5054a with 2006 Mercedes CLS55 AMG, 2007 R class, 2008 Sprinter, all in DAS. Everything worked except ignition sensing.
I used VAS5054a with 2014 C 250 using Xentry, everything works fine, no ignition sense, but Xentry gives you a checkbox to manually select.
I have not tried older than 2006 for Mercedes, but I am sure the limitation is in software/drivers.

I have used VAS5054a with Honda HDS on a 2000 Honda CRV (K-line only) and everything worked fine.
- Install your VAS5054A passthru driver.
- Download download and install now the Honda HDS
- Finish your installation…
- Connect VAS5054A to PC and 12V(car or on bench)
- Load your HDS > click on the famous F12 button and choose your VAS5054A Head.
- Connect your VAS5054A to the car then to your laptop & start your work…
VAS 5054A working with Toyota Techstream:
Also with Toyota Techstream on mid 2000s cars and vans.
- Install Techstream
- Install PassThru drivers for VAS5054
- Activate
- Connect VAS5054head to PC and 12V.
- Open Techstream and configure interface.

How to use JLR SDD 139 with VAS 5054A:
Connecting VAS5054 custom program Manager to manage devices J2534.
This procedure is similar to the configuration of the VCM 2.
Install the program SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics) + IDS for the diagnosis of Jaguar – Land Rover.
Take the adapter – which switches low speed CAN Bus with 8 and 9 foot VAS 5054 on 3 and 11 respectively and work.
By the way – VAS 5054 on will be more serious than Mongoose & China Mangoose. He couldn’t hold a candle even.
Original VAS5054 – feet can be reassigned by software.
